Final Playtesting Update of 2021!


Hey everyone! Hope everyone had an awesome weekend!

I posted a new build this morning for both Windows and macOS with a few new features. Some of these might have already been there, but looking back at my previous devlogs, it doesn't look like I've already mentioned any of these features yet.

1. Some of the UI has been updated to differentiate which character is which. For instance, when selecting a character in the main menu, the left character is with blue UI and the right character with red UI. During a match, the characters' health bars have been colorcoded with their respective colors (blue and red). I've also improved the UI during menu navigation.

2. Hitstop is finally here! This was a heavily requested feature, and has been implemented as of this build. 

3.  A character will now turn blue when blocking. This will help the player determine whether or not their character is blocking.


As the title suggests, this will be my last playtesting build for this game. Starting today (12/13/2021), I'll be focusing on getting the game ready for deployment on iOS and Android, which I'm hoping to have done before the end of this year. I remember the day this project went public, which was Closed Umbrella Games' 9th Founder's Day. That was already over a year ago! Since then, the game really has evolved and improved. It couldn't have been done without your feedback and support!
