A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

The Game Assets & Technology Example is an open-source game project template designed to help game developers make their own games. It includes a fully functional game that comes with a main menu, a game level, a playable character, enemy NPCs, a task/quest system, full controller support, and a save/load system.

Install instructions

If you're downloading the demo directly from the Itch.io website:

1. Download the ZIP file

2. Unzip the downloaded file

3. Open the game


If you're downloading from the Itch.io desktop client (recommended):

1. Click on "install"

2. Should be able to run right from the desktop client.
